Remedial massage is designed to balance muscle/soft tissue length, tension, tone which will in turn, promote the return to normal joint/capsular/bone position; increase the flow of blood and lymph, particularly in the injured areas; thus removing blockages, damaged cells, scar tissue and adhesion's resulting from injury.
With intensive sport and fitness can come injury, along with wear and tear on our bodies, so its important to keep your body in peak physical condition. Sports massage can isolate areas of tension and focus on repairing weakened tissue and reducing inflammation so that you never have to miss a training session.
Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) is a type of manual manipulation of the skin that is a lighter touch than standard massage. It works on the basis that it will encourage the natural drainage of the lymph which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart. It is especially great for helping recover from injury, post surgery, and lymph conditions such as lymphedema etc.

If you are simply wanting to de-stress, relax and unwind, this is the therapy for you!
This treatment is designed to ease tension, reduce stress and promote overall well-being. It uses gentle techniques to sooth the muscles, reduce heart rate and release endorphins- the body's nature pain relievers.
Functional Myofascial Cupping is a soft tissue therapy that involves the application of decompressed cups on the skin, creating a vacuum effect that lifts up underlying tissues such as the fascia and muscles, blood and lymph, close to the surface of the skin. It allows space to increase fluid and hydrate the muscles and fascia. Tash is able to incorporate this into her treatments for you to take your treatment to the next level.
Deep Tissue Massage targets chronic tension in muscles that lie far below the body's surface. Deep muscle techniques involve slow strokes, direct pressure or friction movements that go across the muscle grain.
Hot stones added into a massage treatment can help with pain, stress, and circulation. The heat from the stones helps to relax muscles and increase blood flow. This is a good addition to your treatments if you are also feeling a little anxious about receiving a massage as well. Mel is able to add this into her massage sessions to take your relaxation to an even bigger scale.
